Canvas bags that get better with age
Canvas is a classic bag fabric for a reason. Tightly woven cotton resists tearing and abrasion, takes branding well and looks better with age. SAM canvas bags are made to be used every day.
Best for: Students, creatives and everyday carriers; popular for branding

How to choose the right one
Check the fabric weight
Medium-weight canvas of about 7 to 12 oz per square yard (roughly 240 to 400 GSM) suits everyday bags. Heavier canvas is stiffer and stronger; lighter canvas is softer but less durable.
Look at the stitching
Reinforced stitching at the straps and corners matters more than the fabric. Box-stitched strap joins hold up to heavy loads.
Plain or waxed
Waxed canvas repels water and develops a rich look. Plain canvas is lighter and easier to wash.
Trims and lining
Leather trims and a lined interior make a canvas bag last longer and feel more premium.
Frequently asked questions
Is canvas waterproof?
Plain canvas is not waterproof and absorbs water. Waxed or coated canvas repels water well, but is best treated as water-resistant in heavy rain.
How do I clean a canvas bag?
Spot clean with mild soap and cold water. Check the label before machine washing, and always air dry.
Can canvas bags be printed with a logo?
Yes. Canvas takes screen printing and embroidery well. Use the Bulk Orders page for a quote.
